The Wise payment system was created in 2011 by ideological Europeans who wanted to simplify banking and make it accessible from anywhere in the world. Combining their knowledge and human needs for simple and affordable transfers, former employees of Skype and Deloitte managed to create a new electronic payment platform - Transferwise. In 2021, the name changed to Wise.
The main slogan of the company is money without borders, and sending payments is based on three principles: inexpensive, fast, easy.
Today Wise operates in 170 countries, including Ukraine, and serves more than 13 million clients of various categories.

- multi-currency accounts, work with more than 50 currencies for transfers;
- each jurisdiction has its own tariffs;
- it is possible to open an account for charitable organizations and foundations from the EEA, Canada, USA, UK, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand;
- no fees are charged for keeping money on the account;
- transfers in USD and via the SWIFT system only to certain countries and using limits;
- proposals for salary payments abroad;
- e-commerce services for Amazon, E-Bay and other marketplaces;
- issue individual account numbers and IBAN for 10 currencies: AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, HUF, NZD, RON, SGD, TRY and USD;
- account details in USD are available only for personal accounts of customers residing in the USA.
Wise provides services to private and corporate clients from all over the world. For some countries, additional documents will be required. High risk activities are not serviced.
From time to time, the payment system suspends accepting applications for opening an account for some countries, including Ukraine. Such applications are recorded on the waiting list and are considered after the resumption of work.
Settlement and processing accounts. To activate the account, you need to make a transfer to the account in the amount of 50 EUR.
The Wise payment system provides its customers with remote opening of accounts, without personal presence.
